My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is an animated series based on Hasbro's popular My Little Pony franchise. The show premiered on October 10, 2010 on Hasbro's The Hub channel, and has currently ended its fourth season. This incarnation of the franchise is referred to as the fourth generation, or G4, of My Little Pony. The show was developed for television by Lauren Faust, who is known for her work on two of Cartoon Network's popular and critically-acclaimed franchises, The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. The series stars a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle, a student of Princess Celestia, the ruler of the magical land of Equestria. The princess gives Twilight the task of learning about friendship and sends her and her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike, to Ponyville. There, they meet some interesting ponies, including action-loving Rainbow Dash, glamorous Rarity, hard-working Applejack, timid Fluttershy, and hyperactive Pinkie Pie. Together, they go on adventures, solve various problems, and learn about the magic of friendship.
The Return of Harmony Part 1 (Season 2, Episode 1)Edit
Princess Celestia tasks the ponies with retrieving the Elements of Harmony and defeating Discord, only for the draconequus to manipulate the ponies with his mind games.
Lesson Zero (Season 2, Episode 3)Edit
A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2Edit
A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2 is the twenty-sixth episode of the second season of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the fifty-second episode overall. It is the second episode in a two-part season finale. Shining Armor and Princess Cadance are set to be married, but Queen Chrysalis has a devious plan to ruin Shining Armor's happily ever after and the future of Equestria.
Hearts and Hooves DayEdit
Hearts and Hooves Day is the seventeenth episode of the second season of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the forty-third episode overall. The Cutie Mark Crusaders (who are somewhat the antagonists of the episode) create a strong love potion (or love poison, as they later find out), in hopes of making Miss Cheerilee and Big McIntosh each other's "special somepony," but when they discover the serious side effects of the concoction, they quickly regret their actions.
The Crystal EmpireEdit
Twilight and Spike are hypnotized by an enchanted door made by the evil King Sombra that makes them deal with their worst fears.
Every Little Thing She Does Edit
In an effort to impress Twilight on her friendship studies, Starlight Glimmer impulsively hypnotizes Twilight's friend in order to do the friendship lessons all at once, but her plan backfires when they are completely stripped of free will to do things on their own without following Starlight's orders, making a hug mess sin the castle.
