Unforgettable was a 2011 - 2016 American detective series that aired on the CBS television network and (in later seasons) the cable channel A&E. The series was centered around Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), a woman who has an extremely rare condition known as hyperthymesia (the ability to remember every moment of her life in detail), and who uses her abilities to help solve crimes for the police. The series costarred Dylan Walsh and Kathy Najimy.
Paranoid Android (Season 4, Episode 13)Edit
Carrie, who when given a date can recite exactly what she did that day, is faced with a dilemma when a gunman's last words- "Six in a row, way to go"- trigger a flashback to a carnival held in October 2006. Her partner Al Burns (Walsh) tells her that the carnival was held in May, not October. The team uncovers several mysterious shootings tied to a government experiment in mind control. Carrie recognizes one of the doctors from the experiment (Bruce Davison) from the carnival she supposedly attended.
The doctor calls Carrie and activates her with the trigger phrase "Six in a row, way to go." Carries heads off to assassinate a U.S. Senator. Al manages to track her down in time and reminds her that since she can remember everything about her life, she can break the post-hypnotic suggestion to forget the real events of that day. Carrie remembers being brainwashed by the doctor, which breaks her programming.
Al and Carrie share a romantic moment, but Al is shot by a mysterious gunman, ending the season on a cliffhanger. The series was cancelled, leaving the cliffhanger unresolved.
